Joe Shaffer

Joe Shaffer is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in cyber security and information technology management. Currently serving as a Cyber Security Specialist at Golden Spread Electric Cooperative, Inc. since February 2020, Joe previously held the position of Managed Care Information Services Director at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center from November 2010 to February 2020, overseeing IT, EHR, and Telehealth functions for 24 medical clinics across West Texas and managing a team of seven IT/EHR personnel. Prior to that, Joe was the IT Director for Hale Center ISD from July 2005 to November 2010, where Joe managed all IT functions for the K-12 public school system. Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Educational/Instructional Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Education, both from Wayland Baptist University.
