Shawn Dyer is an accomplished video production and design professional with extensive experience in corporate and creative environments. Currently serving as the Senior Corporate Video & Design Officer at Golden Valley Bank since January 2020, Shawn oversees video production, graphic design, and social media content. In addition to this role, Shawn manages multiple positions, including Business Manager at Ghost Poppy and Co-Director of Animation Chico, an international animation festival. Previously, Shawn held the role of Marketing Director and Director of Video Production at Ray Morgan Company, where responsibilities included developing integrated marketing strategies and overseeing video production efforts. As the Owner of Ulexite Films, Shawn produced several short films and founded three film festivals in Chico, CA. Other notable projects include directing the HA! Film Festival, founding Not Quite Hollywood, and contributing as a cinematographer for the documentary "Fight for Space."

In early 2004 several local Chico business people recognized the service void that had been created when three local banks were purchased by larger financial institutions, some headquartered out of state. These mergers created an opportunity for a new locally owned and managed, true community bank run by Directors, Shareholders, Officers and Staff that live in the community. As their idea spread, it was met with overwhelming local approval. The Organizing Group grew to 28 local business and professional people, and the new Community Bank began to take form.
