Ian Foster

Ian Foster is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions. Currently serving as a Partner and Head of M&A at GoldenTree Asset Management since May 2021, Ian previously held the position of Managing Director in the Global Industrials Group at Goldman Sachs, where responsibilities included leading M&A efforts from July 2007 to May 2021. Earlier in career, Ian worked as an R&D Engineer at Innovative Micro Technology from 2005 to 2007. Ian Foster earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from UCLA, completing studies in 2006.
