Sam Butler

Sam Butler is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in landfill engineering and environmental management. Currently serving as a Senior Associate Civil Engineer at Golder since October 2020, Sam previously worked with SLR Consulting as a Landfill Engineer, focusing on landfill cell design, leachate systems, and compliance inspections. Sam's earlier roles include positions at ERM, Impact Blue Pty Ltd, and Origin Energy, where responsibilities included technical design, project management, environmental compliance, and data analysis. A graduate of Griffith University with a Bachelor of Environmental Engineering (Hons), Sam has contributed to various key projects, demonstrating expertise in waste management solutions and environmental risk assessment throughout a diverse career spanning over 15 years.
