Michael Thompson

Michael Thompson is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in government affairs and finance. Currently, Michael holds the position of Managing Director and Head of U.S. Government Affairs at Goldman Sachs since January 2010. Prior to this role, Michael served as Senior Vice President at Rich Feuer Group from January 2007 to January 2010 and as Vice President at Fannie Mae from January 2003 to January 2007. Michael's career in politics includes serving as Legislative Assistant and Subcommittee Staff Director for Senator Mike Enzi from January 2001 to January 2003, and as Legislative Assistant for Congressman Vito Fossella from January 2000 to January 2001. Michael earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, graduating in January 1999.
