Varun Dwarakanathan

Varun Dwarakanathan is an experienced strategist currently working at Goldman Sachs in the Systematic Trading Strategies team within the Global Markets Division since March 2020. Prior to this role, Varun served as a Software Engineer at Google from August 2016 to February 2020, focusing on the core backend of the Events Search project. Varun also has academic experience as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where duties included conducting labs and grading for courses in Program Design and Data Structures from 2014 to 2016. Varun's early career includes a summer internship at the University of Hamburg in 2013, where a project on narrative similarity was undertaken.
