Nakia Vargas is a seasoned professional in finance and education with a diverse background spanning over a decade. Currently serving as a faculty member at the Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship, Nakia also founded The Young CEO Program, a comprehensive initiative that educates teens aged 15-18 in personal finance over a 10 to 12-week curriculum. As the owner of Vargas Financial Services since October 2016, Nakia has established expertise in financial management. Previous roles include bookkeeper at the Church of Love Faith Center and Rochester Family Mission, as well as a Medicaid Billing Consultant, Accounts Receivable Specialist, and Staff Accountant at Heritage Christian Services. Nakia holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the Rochester Institute of Technology, completed in 2008.
