Melissa Ko

Melissa Ko has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Melissa is currently working as a Financial Analyst at Golub Capital since July 2022. Prior to that, Melissa held the position of Subtle Asian Dating Moderator from March 2020, where they dedicated their time to create a safe space for Asians in regards to dating. Their responsibilities included approving posts, managing messages, handling reported content, and organizing events.

Before their role at Subtle Asian Dating, Melissa worked at Miller, Cooper & Co., Ltd. as a Staff Auditor from October 2021 to May 2022, and as a SALT Tax Staff from June 2021 to October 2021. Melissa also gained experience as a Sales and Use Tax Auditor at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue from June 2018 to June 2021.

Melissa also actively participated in online communities and served as a Subtle Korean Traits Moderator from May 2020 to February 2021, where they contributed to the growth of the group through their role in managing the chat, Facebook page, Instagram, and LinkedIn group.

Additionally, Melissa had early work experiences including being a Tennis Coach, Camp Counselor, and Cafe Worker at Oak Brook Bath and Tennis in 2017. Melissa also participated in job shadowing events at EY, PwC, Plante Moran, and Deloitte in 2016, where they learned about the firms and gained insights from professionals in various service lines.

Melissa Ko obtained their High School Diploma from Lyons Township High School, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Melissa then pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business degree, specializing in Accounting and International Business, at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business from 2014 to 2018.
