Josh Reese

Josh Reese has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering and research. Josh currently works as a Senior Software Engineer at MediGO since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Kizen from 2019 to 2021, where they held multiple roles including Vice President of Engineering, Engineering Team Lead, and Full Stack Engineer.

Before joining Kizen, Josh was an Instructor at Coding Dojo from 2018 to 2019, where they taught web development courses. Josh also worked as a PhD Candidate at the University of Maryland from 2014 to 2017, conducting research on program synthesis and semantic analysis.

Prior to their time at the University of Maryland, Josh was a PhD Candidate at Purdue University from 2012 to 2014, focusing on implementations of reliable channels and reliable broadcasts in distributed systems. Josh also served as a Graduate Student at The University of Edinburgh from 2011 to 2012, where their research involved optimizing algebraic queries and developing parallel algorithms.

Josh Reese completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Audio Technology from American University between the years 2008 and 2011. In 2011, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at The University of Edinburgh, which they completed in 2012. From 2012 to 2014, they attended Purdue University, majoring in Computer Science. Finally, they studied Computer Science at the University of Maryland from 2014 to 2017, although it is not specified whether they obtained a degree from that institution. In addition to their formal education, Josh Reese obtained a certification in Usable Security from Coursera in December 2018.
