Luis Cuesta Cuesta

Luis Cuesta Cuesta is an associate professor at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, specializing in Business Taxation since September 2021, and serves as an associate lecturer in Corporate Taxation at Barcelona University since March 2018. Additionally, Luis has worked as a tax lawyer at Gómez-Acebo & Pombo since April 2014, providing tax advice to Spanish and multinational business groups, with expertise in taxation under the consolidated tax regime and international taxation, particularly in M&A transactions and restructuring processes. Previous experience includes a position as a tax lawyer at Garrigues from September 2011 to April 2014 and an internship in the tax department at Uría Menéndez in late 2010. Luis holds multiple degrees, including a law degree and a degree in Business Administration from Universitat Abat Oliba CEU (2011, 2012), an Executive Master's in Business Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues (2012), and an International Taxation course from CEF Centro de Estudios Financieros (2015).
