Kaiqi Sun

Kaiqi Sun, Ph.D., is the Head of China at GondolaBio since March 2025, focusing on innovative solutions for genetic diseases. Prior to this role, Kaiqi served as VP in the Strategy Office and Drug Discovery & New Product Planning at METiS Therapeutics from November 2021 to March 2025. At McKinsey & Company from July 2017 to October 2021, Kaiqi worked as an Engagement Manager, leading Asia Healthcare data initiatives. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, obtained between 2011 and 2017, along with a brief educational stint at Rice Business in 2016 and a degree from Central South University’s Xiang-ya School of Medicine from 2007 to 2011. Additional experience includes roles at the US China Innovation Alliance, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, and internships at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
