Javier López

Javier López is the current Technical Director at Gonvarri Steel Industries. Javier has held this position for 14 years. Prior to this, they worked as the Deputy Technical Director and Technical Project Manager at Gonvarri Industries. In these roles, they were responsible for developing new international projects and serving as a technical consultant for the existing companies within the Group. Javier'smain competencies include project management, search of potential suppliers, definition and purchase of machinery, supervision of industrial equipments, design of layouts for industrial facilities, land search and purchase, construction management and supervision, and new investments (budgets) controlling.

Before working at Gonvarri Industries, Javier was a Process Engineer at LUZARO EFC. In this role, they were responsible for a business process re-engineering effort on its IT infrastructure and daily-based procedures. This included an upfront analysis of business processes and workloads, optimizing processes and allocating resources, consolidating back office systems and processes, and getting big paybacks from such a project.

Javier López completed a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering at TECNUN - Universidad de Navarra from 2004 to 2007. Javier also completed a BEng in Electronic Engineering at Universidad del Pais Vasco from 2000 to 2004. In 2009, they completed an Associate's degree in Occupational Safety and Health Technician at Instituto Madrileño de Formación. Javier also has a Certificate of Proficiency in English from the University of Cambridge.
