Lars Sandström

Lars Sandström has extensive work experience in the field of precision optics and optical systems. Lars has held various roles, including Vice President of Precision Optics and Optical Systems at G&H Photonics, Vice President of Life Sciences at G&H Photonics, and Director of Precision Optics at Edmund Optics. Lars also has experience as a Project Manager at Gammadata Instrument AB and as a Founder at Base Optics Laser Labs Inc. Lars has expertise in photonic applications and served as a Photonic Application Expert at Argus International Ltd. Lars was also involved in the development of tunable lasers and optical systems as a Product Line Manager, General Manager, and Chief Technology Officer at Thorlabs Quantum Electronics. Additionally, Lars has experience as a Laser System Manager at Radians Innova AB and as a Development Engineer at AltOptronic AB. Throughout their career, Lars has demonstrated a strong background in optics, imaging, and photonics technology, and has played a key role in product development and management in the industry.

Lars Sandström holds a Licentiate of Engineering degree in Near-Infrared Gas Analysis Spectroscopy Systems with Semi-conductor Lasers from Chalmers University of Technology, which they completed from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained their MSc in Electrical Engineering from the same university, graduating from 1987 to 1992. Additionally, Lars Sandström has a certification as an ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor from the American Society of Quality, obtained in 2011.
