Maxwell Waddingham

Maxwell Waddingham has a distinguished career in the field of building services engineering, with a strong focus on renewable energy. Maxwell is currently working as an Operations Director at Good Energy, playing a pivotal role in driving the growth of the company's renewable products operation. In their previous role as the Head of Operations at Good Energy, they provided leadership and strategic development for their renewable heating and solar PV initiatives.

Before joining Good Energy, Maxwell worked at Igloo Energy as a Survey & Design Manager, where they led the heating survey and design function within the Home Services operation. Maxwell also served as a Senior Heating Design Engineer, responsible for managing and developing the heating design function.

Prior to that, Maxwell held roles at Vaillant Group, where they provided technical expertise and support for building management systems, heat pumps, solar thermal systems, and mechanical ventilation. Their assistance was valuable to consultants, suppliers, and installers across the UK and Ireland.

Maxwell's career began in the British Army, where they worked as an Asset and Operations Junior Manager. In this role, they managed vehicle maintenance, logistics schedules, and engineering inspections. Maxwell also served as a qualified ground helicopter handling instructor, delivering training and safe handling drills.

Before transitioning to the civilian sector, Maxwell worked as an Engineering Project Manager at CEMA POWER LIMITED. Maxwell led projects designing new industry aeration methods and equipment for the wastewater sector and anaerobic waste digestion plants.

Maxwell Waddingham obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Engineering from The Open University in the years 2010-2016. Maxwell later pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Building Information Modelling & Product Collaboration from the University of Derby from 2017-2019. In addition to their academic degrees, Maxwell obtained several certifications in various areas including water supply regulations, energy efficiency, heating systems, and project management. Maxwell is also a certified AutoCAD Professional.
