Chris Cochran is the Founder and Principal of Good Food Advisors, a strategic advisory firm established in December 2019 that focuses on fostering innovation in the food system for sustainability. As a Venture Partner at Hawthorne Food Ventures since June 2023, Chris manages the investment process for ventures aimed at reducing food waste. Previously, as the inaugural Executive Director of ReFED, Chris significantly grew the organization, establishing it as a leading think tank on food waste solutions while developing critical partnerships and advising major corporations. Chris has extensive experience in corporate sustainability, including a tenure at Walmart, where strategic initiatives in food sourcing and sustainability were led. Additionally, experience includes consulting roles in agricultural development and nonprofit accounting transformation in Central America. Chris holds a Master's degree in International Economics and Development from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Harding University.
