Jamie Armstrong

Jamie Armstrong has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. They began their career as an intern at The Friend magazine in 1995. Later, they worked as a Copy Editor and Copywriter at Reader's Digest from 1995 to 2000. Following that, they served as a Freelance Writer and Editor from 2000 to 2006.

In 2007, Jamie joined LDS Living Magazine as the Managing Editor, responsible for planning the online editorial calendar, creating digital content, and implementing content marketing strategies for Deseret Book products. They also interviewed and wrote feature stories about high-profile Church members. Jamie stayed with LDS Living Magazine until 2019, achieving significant milestones such as increasing website visits and revenue.

From 2019 to 2021, Jamie worked as a Senior Content Marketing Manager at Cityworks | Azteca Systems, LLC. They then transitioned to roles at Good News Utah, serving as the Chief Operating Officer from February 2021 to August 2022, and later becoming the Publisher and CEO.

In December 2022, Jamie joined Cove as the Director of Content Strategy. Additionally, they took on the role of Director of Marketing and Communications, starting from that same month. The duration of these positions is ongoing.

Jamie Armstrong obtained a BA in Communications with an emphasis in journalism from Brigham Young University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. In 2018, Jamie attended Columbia Business School for a course on Digital Marketing, specifically focusing on Customer Engagement, Social Media, Planning & Analytics. From 2019 to 2021, Jamie pursued an Executive MBA from the Naveen Jindal School of Management at UT Dallas, specializing in Business, Marketing, Strategic Leadership, and Operations Management. Jamie has also obtained several certifications, including Certified Digital Marketing Professional from the Digital Marketing Institute, Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) from the American Marketing Association, and Google Analytics 4 Certification from Skillshop, all in 2023.
