Kristen Higgins has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Kristen started their career in 2014 at Steward Health Care, where they held various roles including Nurse and Regional Director of Patient Experience. During their time at Steward Health Care, Kristen worked directly with the Senior Leadership Team to improve patient care and reduce length of stay. Kristen was also involved in committees focused on patient satisfaction, readmissions, and patient flow. In 2022, they joined Good Samaritan Medical Center as a Patient Care Director.
Kristen Higgins obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Prior to that, they completed high school at Bishop Stang High School from 1990 to 1994. Kristen also holds additional certifications as a Certified Patient Experience Professional (CPXP) from the Patient Experience Institute.
