Akelia Lawrence-Maitland

Akelia Lawrence-Maitland, LMSW, currently serves as the Vice President of Clinical Implementation at Good Shepherd Services, with prior experience including roles as Program Director and in consulting for social service management in child welfare. Additional positions held include Fundraising Administrator for an election campaign, Northeast Representative for the Jamaica Diaspora Advisory Board to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Administrative Social Work Supervisor, and Social Work Supervisor at Catholic Guardian Services. Akelia has also contributed as Fundraising Chair and President of Jamaica Impact, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work and a Bachelor's degree in Economics, both from Stony Brook University.
