Merquiades Guevara

Merquiades Guevara is a dedicated professional in the human services field with extensive experience working with vulnerable populations. Currently serving as a CCW-Bilingual at Lutheran Social Services of New York since May 2024, Merquiades ensures the well-being of unaccompanied children in immigration custody. With a long tenure at Good Shepherd Services starting in June 2011, Merquiades has held roles including Division Coordinator and Office Manager, focusing on training staff and fostering a welcoming environment for families. Previous roles include Human Resource and Finance Manager at A Little Piece of Light, Contact Tracer I at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, and various support positions in residential settings. Merquiades holds a Bachelor's degree in Human Service and is pursuing a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Community & Human Services from Empire State University, alongside multiple relevant certifications.
