Johannes Schurmann

Johannes Schurmann has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Johannes began their career in 2013 as a Semi Professional Fieldhockey Player at Hockeyclub Schaerweijde. In 2015, they took on the role of Commissaris Terreinen at Utrechtsch Studenten Corps, where they were responsible for organizing events and managing event locations.

In 2016, Johannes worked as Point of Sale (POS) Operations at Adyen, gaining experience in operations management. Following this, they joined SOLVE Consulting NL as a Consultant (pro bono), providing advice to non-profit organizations and social enterprises on how to operate efficiently.

In 2017, Johannes worked as a Teaching Assistant at Universiteit Utrecht, assisting with exercise classes and grading assignments for the bachelor advanced course Energy Analysis. Concurrently, they also held the role of Consultant at SOLVE Consulting NL, where they continued to provide pro bono consulting services.

In 2018, Johannes worked briefly as a Sustainable Business Analyst at Entis, supporting asset managers in building sustainable investment portfolios.

In 2019, Johannes joined GoodFuels, a Netherlands-based pioneer in advanced and sustainable biofuels. Johannes started as an Innovation Analyst Intern before eventually taking on the roles of Innovation Manager and Head of Operations and Supply. In these positions, they played a key role in developing new sustainable fuels for marine and road applications. Johannes also served as the Head of GoodFuels for a period of time.

Most recently, Johannes joined FincoEnergies in 2023 as Sales Director, utilizing their sales expertise to drive business growth.

Johannes Schurmann has a diverse education history. Johannes attended KSG de Breul from 2006 to 2013, where they received their Vwo degree in the fields of Natuur & Techniek and Natuur & Gezondheid. Johannes then enrolled at Utrecht University in 2013 and studied Natuurwetenschap & Innovatiemanagement until 2018. However, it appears that they did not complete a degree in this field. In 2018, they briefly attended The Johns Hopkins University to study Economics. Finally, from 2018 to 2020, Johannes pursued a Master's degree in Energy Science at Utrecht University.
