Alex Koch has a wealth of work experience in the legal field. In 2012, they were a student intern at Cobalt Business Counsel Professional Corporation and a Course Developer at the Ted Rogers School of Business Management at Ryerson University. In 2013, they were an Associate at DeMarco Allan LLP and a Researcher at FAIR Canada. From 2015-2017, they were a Partner at Segal Koch LLP, where they provided a wide range of business operational and commercial matters, intellectual property and energy and environmental law. Finally, in 2022, they became a Lawyer in Residence at Goodlawyer, providing corporate and intellectual property advice to individuals, startups and small to medium sized businesses across a wide array of industries.

Alex Koch completed a Bachelor of Health Studies at Glendon Campus of York University, majoring in Psychology and French, from 2006 to 2010. Alex then attended York University - Osgoode Hall Law School, earning a J.D. in Law, from 2010 to 2013. In 2012, they participated in a student exchange program at Aix-Marseille University, where they obtained a Master's Degree in International Law.
