Alex Levenstein

Alex Levenstein has a diverse work experience, starting as a Research Intern at SUNY Oneonta Biological Field Station in 2011. They then worked as a Research Assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they conducted research on phase field models of solidification and protein immobilization in hollow nanostructures. In 2016, Alex joined RAY · ALLEN INC. as a Business Intelligence Analyst, and remained there until 2020. During this time, they developed and maintained large codebases of report and pipeline code, and migrated complex queries to Spark SQL in Databricks. In 2019, they worked as a Machine Learning Consultant at Bassett Healthcare Network. Currently, Alex is employed at GoodLeap LLC as a Senior BI Programmer Analyst, where they design robust data and ETL pipelines, develop detailed reports, and perform ad-hoc analyses using SQL, Python, and various frameworks.

Alex Levenstein received a Bachelor's degree in Materials Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. In 2016, they pursued a short-term course in Data Science at Galvanize - Denver, Platte.
