Zak Nason-Giwa has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Zak is currently working as the Co-Founder and CEO of Goodloans, a company specializing in embedded lending infrastructure. This venture is funded by Google and backed by AWS, Creative Destruction Lab, and Barclays Bank.
In 2022, Zak became a Charter Member at TiE. Prior to that, they served as a Sales Director at Eigen Technologies from 2020 to 2021. At Eigen Technologies, they sold SaaS-AI solutions and consulting services to credit funds, and also built a partnership with Europe's largest leveraged finance trade body. The company is backed by Goldman Sachs and Temasek.
From 2016 to 2020, Zak worked at Oracle in two roles. Zak started as an Enterprise Account Director, responsible for finance and supply chain SaaS applications solutions sales. Zak sourced, nurtured, and closed complex, multimillion-dollar deals with strategic customers across various industries. Throughout their tenure, they consistently achieved over 100% quota attainment. Additionally, from 2019 to 2020, Zak served as an Ambassador for Oracle for Startups.
Zak's earlier experience includes working as a Venture Development Manager at Nova Founders Capital, where they played an integral role in the end-to-end venture development of GlassesGroupGlobal, the largest eyewear eCommerce startup in Southeast Asia at that time. Zak successfully closed a $3 million Series A funding round for the company, with backing from Caixa Capital and Skype co-founder Toivo Annus.
Before that, Zak held the position of Senior Commercial Analyst at Reckitt, where they were promoted to lead commercial analyst within three months. Zak handled commercial and sales strategy, data analysis, and forecasting for brands such as Scholl, Durex, and Nurofen. Prior to Reckitt, they gained experience as a Summer Analyst at BNY Mellon, where they interned in institutional sales and was exposed to a range of financial services businesses.
Zak's work experience also includes a summer job as a Digital Project Manager at huumun, where they developed iPad applications for a major pharmaceutical client and managed a team of five.
Zak Nason-Giwa holds a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Melbourne, which they obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) in International Business and Management at The University of Manchester from 2012 to 2013. Currently, Zak is pursuing a degree in Fintech at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, starting in 2022. In 2009, they completed their undergraduate studies at Swansea University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Economics.
