Brian H. Potts has a long and varied work experience. Brian H. began their career in 2006 as an Environmental/Energy Attorney at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. In 2007, they moved to Foley & Lardner LLP as an Environmental/Energy Partner. In 2015, they became a Commissioner at the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District. In 2016, they became a Partner and Co-Chair of Energy Group at Perkins Coie LLP, and also became a Former Contributor at Forbes. In 2017, they became Co-Founder and Board Chair at Goods Unite Us, Inc., and also founded and became Board Chair at LegalBoard. In 2019, they became Summer Faculty at Vermont Law School. In 2021, they founded and became Board Chair of The Legal Mentor Network.

Brian H. Potts received their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Economics from Centre College in 1997 to 2001. Brian H. then attended Vermont Law and Graduate School from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained their Doctor of Law (J.D.) in Environmental Law. Finally, they attended University of California, Berkeley - School of Law from 2005 to 2006, where they earned their Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Energy Law.
