Daniel Burns has extensive experience in the food and beverage industry. Daniel began their career in 2002 as Manager at Betelnut Pejui Wu, where they proposed and executed a fundraising event to benefit Save the Children after the SE Asian Tsunami. Daniel then moved on to Original Joe's as General Manager in 2007. Later that same year, they became General Manager of Red Lantern Restaurant, where they hired and trained 24 employees and opened the restaurant on-time and received 3 stars from San Francisco Chronicle. In 2009, they became an Independent Restaurant Consultant, providing assessment and solutions for improved quality and productivity. From 2010 to 2015, they worked at Williams-Sonoma, Inc. as Associate General Manager, managing a store with a -8% in sales and turning a profit to +1.5% in 2013 and currently at +8%. Daniel also improved safety practices from 6 lost-time injuries in 2012 to 0 in 2013 and 2014. Finally, from 2015 to present, they have worked at Goodshop as Director of Operations and Product Manager.

Daniel Burns has an education history that includes attending Dickinson College and San Francisco State University, where they obtained a degree in Human Resource Management and a Human Resource Management Certification.
