Yaw Peprah

Yaw Peprah is an Investor Relations manager. He joined Goodwell in June 20222 and his current role deals largely with Goodwell’s institutional investor mandate.

Yaw majored in Information Systems and Accounting at the University of Cape Town. He then obtained a post graduate diploma in Accounting after which he served his articles at PriceWaterhouseCoopers. After completing his articles he qualified as a chartered accountant and was hired by the National Empowerment Fund where he cut his teeth in the venture capital/private equity world. He was then recruited by Standard Bank’s Corporate and Investment Banking division as a senior manager in the new business and investment banking solutions department based in Cape Town.

For the 9 years prior to joining Wesgro, he spent 3 years as a minority shareholder in the Johannesburg division of an advertising agency and 6 of those years were spent running a business that married his finance background with his recently developed marketing acumen both locally and on the rest of the continent. During this time he was involved in the production of 2 feature films and attended the Dubai Film Festival and Cannes.

Prior to joining Goodwell, he served as Wesgro’s Chief Business Officer for close on 7 years. The role oversees the trade, investment, film, InvestSA One Stop Shop and the newly formed district unit business at Wesgro.

He co-founded the Silibona Educational Trust that supports the tertiary education aspirations of young South African women from historically disadvantaged backgrounds.
