Heather Hicks

Vice President, Mission Impact at GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF ALBERTA

Heather Hicks has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Heather began their career in 1998 at TELUS, where they held positions as a Business Analyst, Training Manager, HR Manager, and Manager. Heather then worked at the University of Alberta as the Executive Director of Career Services for MBA Programs. After that, they served as the Director of Programs at the Alberta School of Business, Executive Education. Heather later became the Executive Director of the Alberta Safety Council before joining the University of Alberta, Executive Education as the Associate Dean. Heather then worked as the Director of Community Ventures at St. Michael's Health Group and as the Manager of Administration & Operations at UBC Okanagan - Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. Their most recent positions include Director and Vice President of Mission Impact at Goodwill Industries of Alberta. Throughout their career, Heather has demonstrated a commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities and providing professional development opportunities to working professionals.

Heather Hicks pursued their education starting in 1985, when they attended Queen's University for their Bachelor of Arts degree in History. Heather successfully completed their studies in 1988. Following this, Heather furthered their education by attending McMaster University from 1990 to 1992. There, they earned a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in finance.

In addition to their educational achievements, Heather Hicks also obtained the CPHR certification from CPHR Alberta in May 2022.
