Kara Bhakuni has a diverse work experience in the field of vocational programming and rehabilitation services. Kara started their career as a Vocational Evaluator at The Goodwill Industries of Akron, OH, Inc. in 2000 and worked there for nine years. Kara then joined Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. in 2009 as the Director of Mission Services, where they provided training, management, and coordination for a department of over 50 individuals. In this role, they oversaw various vocational programs and ensured compliance with standards and policies. Kara worked effectively across functional boundaries to sustain a budgeted revenue stream of over 2.5 million dollars. In 2015, Kara also worked as an Employment and Community Services Program Surveyor at the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities. Currently, they are serving as the Mission Services Director of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement at Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio, Inc. In this role, they work with a team to provide training and coordination while ensuring program compliance and administering a comprehensive outcome measurement database.

Kara Bhakuni MS, CRC, CVE obtained a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Akron, graduating between 1992 and 1997. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling/Counselor from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, completing their studies between 2006 and 2009.
