Kayla Countney

Kayla Courtney has extensive work experience in the nonprofit sector and in education. Kayla started their career at the YMCA of the Fox Cities, where they served as a School-Age Lead Supervisor and Child Care Lead Teacher from June 2010 to August 2013. In this role, Kayla planned and implemented age-appropriate curriculum and provided leadership and supervision to assistant staff and children.

From January 2012 to January 2014, Kayla also worked as a LIVESTRONG Instructor at the YMCA, where they instructed small group health and wellness classes for cancer survivors. Kayla assessed participants' physical abilities and adjusted workouts accordingly, ensuring a safe and positive environment.

Since November 2013, Kayla has been working at Goodwill NCW. Kayla started as a Vocational Coordinator, assisting individuals with barriers to employment in finding and maintaining suitable jobs. Kayla provided support in various aspects of the job search process and offered advocacy and guidance to promote positive work experiences.

Kayla's dedication and expertise led their to become a Team Leader at Goodwill NCW in January 2019. In this role, they led and guided the Vocational Support Services team, helping consumers find and maintain employment in the community. Additionally, they built positive relationships with the business community and funding/referral sources.

Recently, Kayla was promoted to the position of Director of Programs and Partnerships at Goodwill NCW in December 2019. In this role, they provide leadership to mission programs and team members, aligning service delivery with the organization's mission. Kayla also explores opportunities for program expansion and develops and implements new mission programs within the community.

Kayla Countney completed their Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Leadership at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2011.
