Erin Starnes has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Erin began their career as an Employment Specialist at Parents Alliance Employment Project in 1990, where they worked until 1994. Erin then joined Overlook Mental Health Center as a Case Manager, a role they held until 1998. In 1998, Erin transitioned to Goodwill Industries of Knoxville and served as an Employment Specialist for a year. From 1999 to 2002, they worked at Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. as a Program Manager for Work Keys. Erin then took on the role of Vocational Services Manager at the same organization from 2002 to 2006. Erin continued their journey with Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc. and served as a Workforce Development Assistant from 2006 to 2009. From 2009 to 2020, Erin held the position of Director Of Workforce Development at the same company. Erin then became the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) Director from 2020 to 2021. Currently, Erin is the Director of Client Services at Goodwill Industries of Tenneva Area, Inc.
Erin Starnes received a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale between 1984 and 1988. Prior to that, they obtained a high school diploma from Hinsdale South High School from 1980 to 1984. Erin also has additional certifications in Career Coaching and Leadership from Skilling America, obtained in 2020, as well as a certification as a Certified Employment Support Professional from the Employment Support Professional Certification Council, obtained in September 2015.
