Shannon Russell

Shannon Russell is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and financial management. Currently serving as Controller at Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont since October 2019, Shannon leads the Financial Services Team to ensure compliance with accounting procedures and GAAP standards. Prior roles include AVP, Controller at SCOR, where Shannon managed a team of accountants and collaborated across departments to address financial reporting issues, and Business Analysis Manager at SCOR Global Life Reinsurance, overseeing operational reporting and month-end closing processes. Earlier experience includes supervisory roles at the American Red Cross and comprehensive accounting responsibilities as Controller for multiple companies at The Job Shop, Inc. Shannon’s career began as a Staff Accountant at Cloyd Simons & Co, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from West Virginia University and an MBA from Eastern Kentucky University.
