Abe Taha

Abe Taha is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in cloud databases and machine learning. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Cloud Databases at Google since February 2021, Taha oversees Memorystore, a managed in-memory data service. Prior to Google, Taha held a Partner Group Engineering Manager position at Microsoft, where responsibilities included Azure Machine Learning Frameworks and MLOps. Taha's experience includes pivotal roles at Oracle, BlueKai, Karmasphere, Ask.com, Ning, and Yahoo Search, spanning data engineering, data science, and big data software development. Taha holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
