Adair Gerke is an experienced software engineer at Google since July 2017, previously serving as a Ph.D. researcher at the University of California, Berkeley from August 2011 to July 2017, where work focused on simulation, fabrication, and characterization of VCSEL lasers for various applications. Adair also held the role of head lab graduate instructor for an undergraduate electrical engineering course, overseeing teaching staff and covering topics such as signal processing and machine learning. Additional experience includes a research internship at Fujitsu Laboratories of America, teaching assistant positions at Stanford University, and undergraduate research in the Manoharan Group. Adair holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, along with an MS and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Stanford University, respectively.
