Adel Javanmard is a Professor of Data Sciences and Operations at the USC Marshall School of Business, where they also engage as an executive member of the Outlier Research in Business program and the Marshall Leadership Fellow program. They currently serve as a Research Scientist at Google Research and hold the title of Sloan Fellow in Mathematics. Adel completed their PhD at Stanford University in 2014 and held a postdoctoral research fellowship at UC Berkeley before joining USC in 2015. Their research interests encompass uncertainty-aware machine learning, high-dimensional inference, and personalized decision-making, and they have received numerous awards including the Alfred P. Sloan Research Fellowship and the IMS Tweedie Researcher award.
