Angela Xu

Angela Xu is an accomplished legal and policy professional with extensive experience in data protection and privacy. Angela began her career as an Assistant Manager at the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore, managing legal and policy issues for the Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network project. Angela then served as a Policy Manager at the Personal Data Protection Commission, formulating key policy directions for the Personal Data Protection Act, and later held the position of AVP at Great Eastern Life, leading data governance efforts. Angela’s expertise further expanded during tenure as Senior Counsel for Privacy at Uber and as Privacy Counsel at Google, where responsibilities included overseeing regulatory affairs and serving as Head of APAC privacy advisory. Angela's academic credentials include a Bachelor of Laws and an LLM with Distinction from UCL.
