Ann Farmer

Ann Farmer possesses extensive experience in linguistics and technical writing. Ann served as an Associate Professor and Department Chair of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University at Albany, SUNY from August 1988 to January 1994, and as an Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of Arizona from August 1980 to May 1988. Transitioning into the corporate sector, Ann worked as a Senior Technical Writer at Synopsys Inc from September 1999 to February 2006 and is currently a Senior Technical Writer at Google, focusing on Vertex AI within the Google Cloud Platform since February 2006. Ann holds a PhD in Linguistics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, obtained between 1976 and 1980, and a Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from Stony Brook University, completed in 1975.
