Arjun Gopalan

Arjun Gopalan is a Staff Software Engineer at Google, serving as a Tech Lead in Google Research since May 2018, with a focus on applied graph machine learning and ML infrastructure. Responsibilities include data curation, semi-supervised learning, label propagation, and graph neural networks, along with large-scale infrastructure management for graph ML orchestration and MLOps, contributing to various application areas such as LLM training and inference, Trust and Safety, and recommendations. Prior to Google, Arjun held the position of Senior Member of Technical Staff at Tintri, where essential contributions were made in product development and performance engineering. Arjun's early experience includes research work at Stanford University on the RAMCloud project, an internship at NVIDIA involving remote processor communication, and a position at NetApp focusing on efficient caching schemes. Educational qualifications include an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University and a BE in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
