Assaf Israel

Assaf Israel is a Staff Software Engineer at Google since June 2022, focusing on projects related to Bard and Lamda as well as Google Assistant with a specialty in language models. Previously, Assaf served as a Principal Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft from October 2013 to June 2022, where expertise included feature engineering and delivering machine learning services on Azure infrastructure. Assaf's career also includes experience as a Software Engineer in the US Display Ads division at Microsoft and as Head Teaching Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, overseeing multiple computer science courses. Additionally, Assaf contributed to cloud technologies research at IBM Research - Haifa, working on proof of concept projects for VM mobility. Assaf holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, obtained in 2013 and 2010, respectively.
