Bin Liu

Bin Liu is an accomplished software engineer currently employed by Google as a member of the YouTube Data team, focusing on infrastructure for data processing since April 2021. Liu's career includes experience as a graduate research assistant at the University of Michigan, where database usability was enhanced, as well as research roles at NEC Laboratories America, contributing to data management software and the Partiqle project. Prior experience also includes internships at IBM Almaden Research Center, working on enterprise text analytics and energy-efficient data storage solutions. Liu holds a robust educational background with an MPhil and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and the University of Michigan, respectively, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
