Lead Human Vision Scientist

Bjorn Vlaskamp possesses extensive experience in human vision science, user research, and human-robot interaction across various prestigious organizations. At Microsoft, Bjorn served as Principal User Research Manager, leading the Applied Human Vision Science team in the Mixed Reality domain. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral role at the University of Munich focusing on human-robot interaction, a PhD in Psychology from Utrecht University, and significant contributions as a Distinguished Fellow at Magic Leap and currently as Lead Human Vision Scientist at Google. Additionally, Bjorn held a senior scientist position at Philips, specializing in research on medical devices for cognitive and mental health. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology and a PhD in Psychology with a focus on human cognition, both from Utrecht University.
