C. John Eom

C. John Eom is an accomplished engineer and researcher with extensive experience in materials science and engineering, holding a PhD from Cornell University. From August 2013 to February 2020, C. John Eom served as a PhD candidate, specializing in in situ spectroscopy for fuel cell and battery applications. At QuantumScape, from April 2021 to January 2025, C. John Eom held the role of Senior Member of Technical Staff, managing engineering teams and leading collaborative efforts in data analysis and reliability improvements for high energy density cell platforms. Currently, C. John Eom is a Data Integration Engineer at Google, with prior roles including a postdoctoral research associate at MIT and various leadership positions in academic settings. C. John Eom is actively involved in science communication and mentorship.
