Catherine Zhang

Catherine Zhang is an accomplished Machine Learning Engineer with extensive experience in various high-profile companies. At Google since January 2022, Catherine focuses on CoreML, specializing in large models post-training infrastructure, optimization techniques, and methods such as SFT and distillation. Previously at TikTok, Catherine worked on trust and safety algorithms utilizing computer vision and natural language processing from January 2021 to January 2022. As part of the founding team and Machine Learning Engineering Lead at Collov AI, responsibilities included developing computer vision and recommendation systems from January 2020 to January 2021. Catherine's career began as a Quantitative Trader at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from January 2016 to January 2018, where quantitative trading and portfolio management were central tasks. Catherine holds a Master of Science in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Economics from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
