Changhoon Kim

Changhoon (Chang) Kim is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as Principal Engineer at Google, focusing on enhancing networking performance for machine learning systems and reshaping GCP's infrastructure. Previously, Kim held the position of Vice President of Engineering at MOLOCO, driving innovation in ad-tech and e-commerce through advanced machine learning and distributed systems. As an Adjunct Professor at Stanford University, Kim collaborated on networking and distributed-systems projects. Prior technical leadership roles include CTO of Applications at Intel's Barefoot Division, where Kim advanced networking programmability, and Director of System Architecture at Barefoot Networks, known for groundbreaking networking solutions. Additionally, Kim contributed to the development of network virtualization at Microsoft and conducted research at ETRI in South Korea. Educational credentials include a PhD in Computer Science from Princeton University and both MS and BS degrees in Computer Engineering from Seoul National University.
