Deepavali Bhagwat

Deepavali Bhagwat is an accomplished engineering manager and director with a strong background in data security, governance, and scalable systems. With experience at Google as an Engineering Manager for Regulated Cloud and CloudSQL PostgreSQL, and previously at IBM as a Director overseeing a diverse team for the Spectrum Scale File System, Deepavali has demonstrated expertise in driving strategy alignment and developing high-performance solutions. Positions at IBM Research included managing innovative projects related to data curation and security, while earlier roles at PernixData and Hewlett-Packard involved developing software and enhancing performance in deduplication systems. Deepavali holds a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
