Evan Yao

Evan Yao is a Machine Learning Engineer with experience at prominent technology companies including Google, YouTube, and Yelp. At Yelp, Evan contributed to the Trust and Safety team by developing algorithms to filter fraudulent content. Experiences also include roles as a Software Engineer Intern at Workday, where a multi-tenant allocation system was architected, and teaching assistantship at UC Berkeley in a course on Signals and Systems. Notable research experience includes working at Stanford University on real-time image recognition software and at UC Berkeley's StatNews Lab, focusing on clustering techniques for document similarity prediction.
