George Elissaios is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in cloud computing and AI infrastructure. Currently serving as Vice President of Google Cloud Compute & AI Infrastructure at Google, George leads product development in standard, specialized, AI infrastructure, and High Performance Computing. Prior to this role, George was a Senior Director at Amazon Web Services (AWS), overseeing product management for AI/ML and HPC infrastructure. Throughout the years at AWS, George managed several product teams, including those for EC2 Edge and AWS Wavelength. George's career began as a Quantitative Analyst at BNP Paribas and included valuable experience as a PhD researcher in wireless sensor networks at the Defence Technology Centre and an MBA internship at Facebook. George holds an MBA from London Business School and a PhD from Imperial College London.
