James Ho is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and leadership. Beginning as a Senior Software Engineer at Broadmedia, Inc. from September 1998 to October 2001, James advanced to several key positions, including Assistant Engineering Manager at D-Link and Deputy Director of Software Engineering at Alpha Networks. James served as Senior Engineering Director and Engineering Director for Firefox OS at Mozilla from May 2013 to May 2015. Subsequently, James held the role of CTO and SVP of R&D at KaiOS Technologies, Inc. from June 2016 to June 2022. Currently, James is the Director of Software Engineering at Google, a position held since June 2022. James earned a PhD in Computer Science & Information Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, where studies took place from 1997 to 2003.
