Jan Bednařík

Jan Bednařík is a Research Scientist at Google, focusing on computer vision and machine learning, particularly in the areas of digital humans and augmented reality since April 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a PhD Candidate at EPFL, where research centered on Monocular Deformable Surface Reconstruction Using Deep Neural Networks under the guidance of Prof. Pascal Fua and Dr. Mathieu Salzmann. Jan has also held positions as a Research Intern at Adobe, a Software Engineer at RCE systems s.r.o., and a Quality Assurance Engineer Intern at Red Hat. Additionally, Jan has experience in editorial roles for IT magazines. Jan holds a PhD in Computer Science from EPFL, a Master's degree in Computer Graphics and Multimedia from Brno University of Technology, and a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the same institution.
