Jason Ling is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in operating systems and embedded software development. Currently employed at Google since October 2018, Jason has focused on projects involving ChromeOS, OpenBMC, and Android, with significant expertise in the Linux kernel and eBPF. Prior to Google, Jason held positions at GE Aerospace, where as an Advanced Lead Software Engineer, key contributions were made to the Connected Flight Management System, and as a Lead Software Engineer, Jason led the development of aviation communication protocols. Earlier experience includes work as a Senior Software Engineer at Raytheon, and roles in research and internships, including early work on fault-tolerant applications and a notable project on entropy encoding with Honeywell. Jason holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, respectively, from the University of Florida.
