Jay Kota

Jay Kota is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering management, currently serving as Sr. Director of Engineering at Google since October 2008, where key initiatives in the Consumer and Enterprise sectors were delivered, including the incubation and launch of Google Pay for the Indian market. Prior roles include Sr. Engineering Manager at Yahoo from February 2003 to October 2008, where a significant interop initiative connecting Yahoo! and MSN Messenger was completed, and Senior Engineer at Liberate Technologies from June 1997 to January 2003, contributing to the development of a scalable messaging platform for interactive television. Earlier in the career, Jay Kota was a member of the founding team at Oracle, working on Network Computers. Educational qualifications include an M.Tech in Computer Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and a B.Tech in ECE from Bapatla Engineering College.
